The OpenRun is intuitive from first use. Follow these steps for the best fit, sound, and battery performance from day one.
Charge First
Connect the magnetic charging cable before first use. The two metal contacts snap magnetically onto the charging port — the magnets physically repel if oriented incorrectly, so connection is always right-way-round. Full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours. LED shows red while charging, turns off when complete.
Pair via Bluetooth
Hold the power button until you hear the pairing prompt. Find "Shokz OpenRun" in your Bluetooth settings. Pairs with Android, iOS, Windows, and any Bluetooth-enabled device. Enable multipoint to connect two devices simultaneously for seamless work-to-sport switching.
Find Your Fit
Hook the transducers over your ears so they sit on your cheekbones just in front of the ear canal. The titanium band wraps behind your head. If the standard size feels loose, the Mini (0.83-inch shorter band) may be a better fit. Check the Shokz sizing guide if unsure.
Choose Your EQ
Toggle between Standard mode (balanced, great for music) and Vocal Booster mode (enhanced voice clarity, ideal for podcasts and audiobooks) via the multifunction button or the Shokz app. Standard is the default and suits most listening scenarios.
After Your Workout
Wipe with a dry cloth and check the moisture detection alert before charging — if the port is wet, the OpenRun will vibrate to warn you. Let the port dry before connecting the charger. Store in the included waterproof carrying case between sessions.
